What is the Course About?
The purpose of this course is to understand the early years environments and children’s spaces, considering some of the different environments children encounter in their early years. It encourages you to develop your reflection of children’s environments and provides opportunities for you to investigate and evaluate young children’s experiences and your role in supporting them.
There are not formal requirements, although the course is aimed at individuals who look after children on a daily basis, especially in an educational setting. A good command of the English language is required.

After attending this series of classes, attendees will have an understanding of concepts in the following areas:

- The purpose of space.
- Opportunities to explore and develop.
- Spaces that challenge.
- Playing outside.
- Making judgements on the environment: Quality issues.
