    NCFE CACHE Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner

    This Level 4 qualification aims to provide professional development opportunities for practitioners working in the early year’s workforce.. Upon achievement of this qualification, learners will be equipped as an Advanced Practitioner. The Advanced Practitioner will use crucial leadership skills to mentor others across all roles and responsibilities in the early years workforce.

    Our Level 4 Certificate for the Early Years Advanced Practitioner course is perfect for existing Early Years Practitioners who are looking to take their knowledge in childcare to a higher level whilst working.

    Entry requirements 

    To complete this qualification, you are required to be employed in a learning environment (schools or nursery), holding a full Level 3 early years/childcare qualification. The minimum age to enroll is 18 years old

     

    Course Duration:

    You have up to 8 months to complete this course.  Don’t worry if you need longer though, we can organize an extension to your course for an additional fee, which also extends your tutor support.

     

    Assessment:

    As you progress on this course, you will be continually assessed on your ability to work at Level 4. This course takes place across five units, and you will be expected to produce a work-based portfolio of evidence that reflects your skills and experience. You will also be assessed during observations, which will take place during your normal routine. Your assessor will mark your written assignments, as well as sign off your observations.

    Course content:

    Unit 1: Enabling children to learn

    Unit 2: Promoting health and well-being through physical activity and nutrition co-ordination  in the early years

    Unit 3: Working with others to support children with additional needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disability

    Unit 4: Working with families and other professionals in early years setting

    Unit 5: Implementing change in an early year setting incorporating a small-scale research project

     

    Which type of job roles can you apply for on completion?

    • You could progress to the following job roles and responsibilities:
    • Higher Level Practitioner/Teaching Assistant
    • Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo)
    • Physical Activity and Nutrition Coordinator (PANCo)
    • Internal progression at a higher level, including those with management responsibilities
    • Leadership, mentoring, supervision and management opportunities
